Supporting Guide Dogs
Swim Masters is very proud to support the Guide Dogs Association for the Blind and all of their work helping improve the freedom of people who are blind or partially sighted.
Sue Walters, one of our teachers, is a volunteer brood holder for Guide Dogs, while Jan Maycock is a volunteer brood holder and puppy walker for the association. Sue and Jan also do talks for guide dogs to schools, brownie groups, etc.
Amongst our swimmers we also have another brood holder and a stud dog holder.
There are a number of ways you can help get involved...
1. Please could you keep your old newspapers (anything that is NOT glossy) and bring them to the pool on your next visit. They can be left on top of the cupboard under the clock.
2. Any old towels that you no longer want. They are used during whelping so do not have to be beautiful! Please hand to a teacher and tell them they are for Guide Dogs.
3. Ask at your child's school or nursery whether they would like to get involved by fundraising or having a speaker come and talk to the children.
Thank you for your help.

Private Pools for Hire
Do you have, or know anyone else who has, a private pool at their home who might be interested in earning some extra money by hiring it out for small classes of swimming lessons?
We are always looking to increase capacity or expand into new areas.
If so, please drop us a line and have a chat about what we could offer you!
Our holiday intensives are a great opportunity to grab some extra lessons to brush up technique, learn new skills, and wear the kids out! We work towards our standard syllabus but in even smaller groups than our term-time lessons.
Our normal rules about illness apply (if you miss 2 or more consecutive lessons following your doctor's advice then we will offer a credit for the missed lessons).
At this pool we have classes for Starfish and Duckling classes with a maximum class size of 5 swimmers and for Learn to Swim and Basic Strokes we have a maximum of 2 swimmers.
There are also 1:2:1 sessions available for our Pre-School and 4+ swimmers.
This means these classes are the perfect time to move up your Pre-School swimmers without having the bigger group sizes.
Nuffield Health, Great Park, Rubery
At Nuffield we have Advanced Strokes classes with a maximum class size of 4.
Book via the website or text Jan if you have any questions.
Swimming Hats at Chaddesley Corbett
Please can we remind parents that all Chaddesley Corbett pool swimmers aged 4 years and older must wear hats when attending lessons. This is part of our pool hire agreement and cannot be waived.
If your child has difficulties wearing the free latex hats provided when you start swimming with us, then we strongly suggest purchasing a silicone or material alternative.
This helps us to improve hygiene & safety at the pool.
