Welcome to Swim Masters!
We are a children's swim school based in and around Bromsgrove in the West Midlands.
Our lessons accomodate babies from 6 weeks old (in our 33 degree baby pool), right up until they are ready to join a competitive swimming club (via our full-size 25m training pool).
We follow the ASA National Plan with small class sizes as our main signature and we operate a 3 term year in line with local schools.
Due to limited class sizes we are currently only able to recruit new swimmers to our Under 4's lessons.
Have a look at our prices and available times in the "New Swimmers Prices and Bookings" section.
Lessons at Nuffield Health
Nuffield Health have made a decision to pull all of their swimming lessons in-house across the whole chain from Easter. We are very pleased to announce that Jan Maycock will be their new Swimming Coordinator at Nuffield, Birmingham in Rubery and that Robyn will be teaching for them at that location.
This means that we will be able to move swimmers up to this bigger pool when they have progressed beyond Basic Strokes with a seamless transition.
The Nuffield classes will be £8 each for all levels with 6 swimmers in each class and the teacher on the poolside. The Sharks class for levels 8-10 will be 1 hour and will be £12 each. Classes will continue to be booked on a termly basis but payments will now be made at Nuffield Health's Reception desk.
Swim Masters lessons at other locations will not be affected.
For times and days, please text Jan.
Introduce a Friend 2015
We are pleased to announce that starting from January 1st 2015 we are re-introducing the very popular Recommend a Friend policy where you can claim a free lesson off your next booking when a friend signs up for their first term of swimming with us.
Simply ask your friend to mention your name when they join us and we will text you a discount code when they have paid for their first term of lessons.
The more friends you recommend us to, the more discounts you can earn!
January - Easter 2015 Term
Start: Monday 5th January 2015
Finish: Sunday 29th March 2015
Half Term: There are no lessons on Monday 16th February to Sunday 22nd February 2015
This is an 11 week block of lessons
Mini class sizes for Over 4's
We are often asked if we offer Learn to Swim or Basic Strokes classes which are smaller groups (2 swimmers only).
These classes would be £12 each meaning that an 11 week term would be £132 instead of our current £88.
Is this something that you would be interested in? Please contact us if you would be interested in this option.
Stourport Manor Hotel
We are pleased to announce that we will be offering classes at this site starting on Friday February 27th. Full details of the location are available in the "Pools" section of our website.
This is a lovely venue boasting a quiet, 31° pool, hot showers, ample free parking, lockers with keys available from reception and a brasserie selling hot and cold drinks adjacent to the pool.
Lessons will operate on Fridays and are initially only available to our existing swimmers (they will be available to new swimmers from Easter). We will be offering Big Starfish and Ducklings classes at this site and these will be priced at £10 each (30 minutes).
If you would like to move to this venue at half term please either text Jan, or visit our website to book the required lesson and make payment for the additional £10 to upgrade your existing lessons for this 5 week block.
After Easter, bookings and renewals will operate as normal.
Please be aware that we do not accept cheques as payment for lessons at the poolside. Payments can be made online using Bank Transfers or Paypal (which also accepts credit/debit cards) or by cash at poolside (in a sealed, named envelope).
Ian Joins The Team!
We are pleased to welcome a new member of staff to the Swim Masters teaching team. Ian has been swimming with us for 4 years with his son, and decided to make the leap and join us! He will be teaching a variety of Learn to Swim and Basic Strokes at Chaddesley Corbett throughout the week.
Supporting Guide Dogs
Swim Masters is very proud to support the Guide Dogs Association for the Blind and all of their work helping improve the freedom of people who are blind or partially sighted.
Sue Walters, one of our teachers, is a volunteer brood holder for Guide Dogs, while Jan Maycock is a volunteer brood holder and puppy walker for the association. Sue and Jan also do talks for guide dogs to schools, brownie groups, etc.
Amongst our swimmers we also have another brood holder and a stud dog holder.
There are a number of ways you can help get involved...
1. Please could you keep your old newspapers (anything that is NOT glossy) and bring them to the pool on your next visit. They can be left on top of the cupboard under the clock.
2. Any old towels that you no longer want. They are used during whelping so do not have to be beautiful! Please hand to a teacher and tell them they are for Guide Dogs.
3. Ask at your child's school or nursery whether they would like to get involved by fundraising or having a speaker come and talk to the children.
Thank you for your help.

Private Pools for Hire
Do you have, or know anyone else who has, a private pool at their home who might be interested in earning some extra money by hiring it out for small classes of swimming lessons?
We are always looking to increase capacity or expand into new areas.
If so, please drop us a line and have a chat about what we could offer you!
Swimming Hats at Chaddesley Corbett
Please can we remind parents that all Chaddesley Corbett pool swimmers aged 4 years and older must wear hats when attending lessons. This is part of our pool hire agreement and cannot be waived.
If your child has difficulties wearing the free latex hats provided when you start swimming with us, then we strongly suggest purchasing a silicone or material alternative.
This helps us to improve hygiene & safety at the pool.
